Bill, Bria, Marty, Rob, Michael, Eli, Jerry
and Al flew into Portland airport. The bikes were assembled and the Kibitzers
headed out along the Columbia River to Astoria. From Astoria they followed
Highway 101 to Florence. Six members of the group headed inland to Eugene to
make connections back to Chicago. Jerry and Al continued down the coast to
Brookings. Al headed home from here and Jerry continued south to San Francisco
on his own.

This Swiss couple were finishing up a year of travel

ignored the sign and had 20 miles of spectacular highway to ourselves. |
